RED ROCKS 2012 - Part 1

46 Color Guard Bags.  I counted once and twice to make sure they were all there.  Then helped to load them onto our trailer.  It was already time for our last competitions of the year.  Off to St George they went and we followed them in the morning.

After our little delay by the fire on the bus we arrived in St George and started practice, in the warm St George sun.  After our practice yesterday in American Fork weariing Sweat pants and coats, it was a welcome change to be wearing shorts and t shirts.

In the morning we were off for our final practice before the Utah State Championship Competition.   All to soon we were getting off of the buses and gathering our flags  for warm up.

We took the long walk around the back of the stadium, we entered at the back gate and walked to the edge of the track, we turned around and faced away from the field, we gathered our thoughts, we prepared to do our best once again, knowing that today was for the State Championship.

We entered the field

The music began and we took our opening positions

And we did what we do, we spun our flags, our rifles, our sabers, we danced, we performed, we did our best.

We did it.  We put our ALL into this performance.  It was wonderful to hear the crowd erupt in applause.

Love you all,
Momma Blanco
