Videos for Thought :)

Two things today. First, check out this video of Blue Devils Color Guard doing throw aways! Notice how well they articulate the difference between vertical and 45-degree checkpoints. :) Pretty!




Second, I want everyone that spins Rifle in the third song rifle hit to watch the following video at approx. 5:35. This is a great angle for the rifles to observe how they are not spinning to the true 1-3 corner, but instead performing slightly either direction of the true 45.

BRIDGERLAND BAND INVITATIONAL 2012

What a GREAT way to start the season!  A FIRST PLACE finish and to receive the COLOR GUARD caption award, along with the Percusion Award, Music Award, and Visual Award.  The 5A group has a few more bands in it this season so we really have to stay FOCUSED and continue to improve each and every week.  Practice! Practice! Practice!

What do the Judges think?

Weber Review - We do our best, give it our all, in the end there is no Caption Awards, no
First Place trophy is awarded.  We do it to hear from the judges, what do they think, what did they like, what did they not like, what worked and what didn't.  What should we change, what do they think has potential?  It can be a stressful night, did we get on the field and off the field in the right amount of time?  Did it all come together in the way the directors had it invisioned?  In the end,

I LIKE IT
